Anthodies are apparently ultra-rare and have only been found in three places in the world. They form in a vaccuum and scientists have not been able to explain their formation or reproduce the conditions they believe they may form in. Skyline Caverns is the only site that allows people to view them. And of course, over the years tourists decided that their shoe would make a great projectile to break off a piece to take home. So now they're protected by screens and anyone caught molesting the anthodites gets a mandatory 2 year prison sentence. Go Virginia!
