The top of the canyon you can see is over a thousand feet below canyon rum we're standing on. Somewhere in the inner canyon is a river. Oh, and people used to strip mine this area for uranium before the gub'ment said "Hey! That's a national treasure! You stop that!" and made it a National Park.
